Rivers to float, streams to wade, or rapids to run and fish, Montana's fishing options are plentiful, what kind of an adventure woukd you like?!

Don't forget Yellowstone National Park for destination walk wade fly fishing with uncompromised scenery, wildlife, and fishing. Let us help you fish the right river, for your skill level, at the right time of the year!

Madison River

Headwaters coming out of Yellowstone Park, this river so many diverse characteristics, it's never the same river twice. Drift boat floating with fantastic views, challenging and rewarding walk wade angling, or white water raft fishing, through the Beartrap Canyon, in conjunction with Montana Whitewater.

Big brown and rainbow trout are always potentially one cast away. Year round angling and thought provoking fishing make the Madison a destination onto it's self.

Yellowstone River

692 Miles of free flowing river coming out of Yellowstone park, fish the Yellowstone River deep inside the bowels of the Park, or float it through Paradise Valley and beyond. Always shifting, always spectacular, and this river will leave you mesmerized and transfixed on how rivers flow freely, their beauty, and the fishing opportunities it gifts us.

A great river for the all abilities, beginners, and experts.

Missouri River

Follow in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark, on the Missouri River, in central Montana. A year round blue ribbon tail water fishery, the mighty Mo has some of the highest fish densities in the state. Smooth and relaxing, the subtle structure and immense aquatic life produce big beautiful rainbows and brown trout. Fantastic fishing early in the season in April, May, and June, and again in the Fall, a must on your angling bucket list. Give a call and we can talk you through the logistics of the trip due to the distance it is from Bozeman.

Gallatin River

The Gallatin is a great half day or full day option located just 10 minutes from Bozeman and flows 100 miles to the Missouri R. Outstanding fishing on foot for feisty trout, with solitude and scenery to be found. Canyon scenery and deep pools closer to Big Sky, or meadow views and long riffle runs in the valley, the Gallatin has something for everyone.
Easy and quick to get to and fish at all times of the day, depending on your schedule.

Bighorn River

This legendary tailwater fishery is an angling destination onto its self, and an adventure. Four hour drive from Bozeman, or meet us in Billings, we'll spend 3 days minimum there fishing, cabin lodging, and relaxing under eastern Montana skies. Take a morning to visit the Little BigHorn Battlefield National Monument, and fish in the afternoon is a great day also. Tremendous fish populations, and fun angling tactics make the BigHorn a joy and challenge always. This is a fun trip and a great way to experience Montana, call for details. We recommend this trip in March, April, and May. and then in the fall also!

Jefferson River

The Jefferson has rebounded very nicely over the last few years with cooperative management between the ranching communities and anglers. Improved irrigation techniques, and restored stream and spawning grounds, have helped the Jefferson fish grow in size and numbers. Another fantastic fishery in the spring, pre-runoff, and later in fall with the cottonwood trees turning colors. Big Browns ply these waters for the diligent angler. Not always a numbers game, but a great place to hook up with a fish to remember! As always a view shed to stimulate your senses under the big sky!

Boulder, Shields, and Stillwater Rivers

These three tributaries to the Yellowstone River, offer unique windows of fishing depending on the time of the year. Pocket water, boulder garden, and fun whitewater fishing from a raft are on tap depending on the flows. Constant action and potential as these fish react quickly to the fast moving fly. After the snow melts and runoff has subsided these streams are at their prime. Float 'em or walk wade, these hidden gems of the Yellowstone drainage are worth checking out for a freestone fishing experience. Off the beaten path is often worth the extra effort. Fun and easy day trips from Bozeman or Livingston!

Paradise Valley Spring Creeks and Urban Angling Options

For the ultimate fishing challenge, expert or beginner, the private spring creeks on the Yellowstone are worth the extra cost. A visual sensory overload, spotting fish and casting, there is never a dull moment as you 'hunt' these fish with all your instincts. Depuy's Spring Creek, Nelson's Spring Creek, and Armstong's Spring Creek, each offer technical fishing opportunities, that reward and stimulate the soul. There is a fee per angler to play on these private waters, that is charged by the land owner.

We pride ourselves also at knowing and fishing the hidden gems of small creeks in the Bozeman area, that provide great angling pleasure minutes from town. We can take you out for the afternoon or a few hours in the evening when you need to feel the tug of the fly rod! Quick, fun, and satisfying after a long day of travel or escaping your tedious business meetings. Steal away when nobody is looking!
